CELEBRATE CANADA DAY WITH TRADITION
The Canada Day Races at the Millarville Racetrack bring together community, tradition, and trackside excitement for a full day of family-friendly fun. Cheer on talented jockeys and powerful thoroughbreds as they thunder down the homestretch, feel the energy of the crowd, and take in the wide-open views that make Millarville so special.
Beyond the races, guests can enjoy food vendors, refreshments, and plenty of space to gather with friends and family. Whether you are a longtime racing fan or experiencing the track for the first time, Canada Day at Millarville is a summer tradition worth marking on your calendar.
Bring your lawn chairs, wear your red and white, and spend July 1 celebrating community, heritage, and the excitement of race day.
CELEBRATE CANADA DAY WITH TRADITION
This is the 121st running of the Millarville Races, this event continues a legacy that began in 1905 when local ranching families gathered in Millarville to showcase their finest horses and enjoy a day of friendly competition and community spirit. Spectators can experience a full day of thrilling horse racing that reflects the diverse riding traditions that helped shape Alberta’s ranching heritage.
The VIP area offers premium viewing with lunch included, exclusive betting terminals, and a private bar. Attendees are encouraged to dress their Derby best, adding style and flair to one of the most anticipated and largest race gatherings in southern Alberta. Limited Tickets – sell out each year.

Schedule of Events – closer to as we do not know how many races we get until a couple weeks or less before the event (this is in the Program as well)
Day of: the 50/50 winning ticket number (not the amount of money) is posted for a bit on the website to avoid the office being bombarded with calls – also posted on social media, usually right away to help stop the office being flooded with “Did I win” people.
