Due to COVID-19 - the 2021 event has been canceled.
Skijor Canada is organizing the cheesiest winter event ever at MRAS! SkijorDue is an exciting sport that combines skijoring and fondue. A blistering blend of snow, speed, style, and cheese. Gritty cowboys, fur, fringe, and fashionistas are united by cheese, adrenaline, and equine..
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event committee has decided to postpone this event for the 2021 season and resume in 2022.
Join us in 2022 for one of our beautiful, point-to-point runs through the Foothills of the Rockies, finally finishing at the famous Millarville Farmers' Market only 35 minutes southwest of Calgary.
Invite friends and family to meet you at the finish line then spend the rest of the morning enjoying the shopping, food, and music of southern Alberta's largest outdoor market!Learn More >>
Cancellation of the 2021 Millarville Races
It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the 115th running of the Millarville races, planned for July 1, 2021. The race committee made this difficult decision following the Province of Alberta’s announcement of a return to step 1 of the Path Forward COVID-19 restrictions.
The races are one of the cornerstones of our history and future at MRAS, so cancelling for the second year was a very difficult decision. We know that generations of families from the Foothills and Calgary areas look forward to our annual celebration of both Canada day and our Agricultural heritage.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our long-time supporters, in particular Horse Racing Alberta and Rocky Mountain Turf Club. We look forward to a time when we can welcome the crowds back to MRAS and continue our legacy for the 115th time.

Congratulations to the following ticket holder: 817701
Contact with the winner has been made....Congratulations and thank you to all that participated in supporting the Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society during this time.
MRAS was, like many not for profits, severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We were closed for 3 months and sadly had to cancel all of our summer events, so it's been a tough year for our Agricultural Society. At our events we usually have 50:50 draws that are always very popular, we are launching this virtual 50:50 on Rafflebox as a fundraiser to help MRAS at this challenging time. The proceeds of this 50:50 will help MRAS to fund our operations through the winter of 2020 / 2021 when our revenues are very low.Learn More >>
